Quantitative Methods in Educational Sciences

Aim of the course is the introduction to quantitative research methods.
Students should be able to independently plan a research project, to develop survey instruments, to conduct a survey and present their results.

Overview of quantitative research methods which methods are appropriate to the subject matter?; quality criteria of science; development of a quantitatively oriented research projects;

Development of questionnaires, generation of hypothesis, sampling, preparation of research questions, creating research plans.

Development and implementation of a research project

Course with formative assessment, i.e., students are graded on the basis of written and/or oral tasks assigned regularly over the term.
