To give students an overall insight into the workings of English at an advanced level - C1+ and create a flexible awareness of the language.

Contents:

time and tense, modality, word-order, concord, co-text, context, passive, subjunctive, collocations Advanced lexis & grammar

Methods:

Class presentations supported by tutorials

Assessment:

Two group presentations (one lexis, one grammar) and a final exam.
