Students are able to analyse the dynamics of regional development processes in terms of sociological perspectives.The students receive knowledge on practical relevance and use of theoretical approaches in different fields of rural sociology.

The seminar deals with relevant approaches in regional develoment processes using scientifc literature and case studies of research projects. Furthermore aspects of environmental sociology, landscape scenarios and social-ecological resilience are dealt with.
